Intentional Quitting: There’s Life After School Leadership

Receive two credit hours of professional development (CPDU Hours)!

Teach and Take Time for You presents Intentional Quitting: There’s Life After School Leadership.

Are you a school leader overwhelmed, stressed, and suffering from burnout? Do you feel like you’re ready to throw in the towel? The role of a school leader can be your career’s most rewarding and challenging job. Each day is like walking a tightrope, and some days you question whether to stay or leave the profession. Another question you ask yourself is, “If I leave, what else can I do?” If you’re ready to walk away, be intentional and have a plan.

Intentional Quitting: There is Life After School Leadership is a virtual workshop explicitly designed for educators by an educator. Stress and burnout are driving out many experienced and dedicated people. Some walk away without a plan because they just cannot take it anymore. This workshop was created to help you recognize your transferable skills and design a plan for your next professional journey. Through reflection and application, you will decide your next career steps.

Participants in this workshop will:

  • Recognize and define your professional struggles
  • Re-evaluate your professional why or purpose
  • Reflect on personal, emotional, and physical barriers
  • Calculate the financial cost of leaving
  • Create a Plan
  • Complete a skills review
  • Complete a job description review
  • Review and Redesign Resume (Skills-based or Functional)
  • Plan your next steps

Upon completing the session, participants will receive two CPDU hours. Please make sure to include an email address when registering for the session.

Join us virtually on June 7, 2023, from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm CST. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite.
