Are negative co-workers affecting your wellness? Most people don’t ask themselves that question.  I thought about it after presenting at the Teacher Self-Care Conference. During the conference, I spoke with new and experienced teachers about their stress triggers. What caught me by surprise was the response, “negative co-workers.” So, let’s think about how negative co-workers affect your wellness.

Much is written about teachers’ attitudes and the effect on students. Not much information is available about teachers’ negative attitudes and their effect on their peers. However, all new and experienced educators can tell you stories about a Negative Nelly or Nelson in the school building.
